the rod and reel combo was advertised as a set. I bought this for my husband for his birthday. Unfortunately, the reel does not fit the rod. The rod is made for an open reel. So now my husband has to find an inexpensive open reel to use with the rod. I bought this item because I thought it was a set so I am not really happy with the advertising.

I received this as a birthday gift in June and used it twice. Was happy with the storage aspect. When extended it did not stay as tight as I thought it should. Overall happy so purchased one for my husband for christmas.
