I bought this for my 5 year old nephew who loves dinosaurs. This is a great bag for boys ages 3 - 6. It is small so I do not think it would work for a 7 year old or older. But it is a very "cool" bag for a young boy.

Everything is as expected except the size. It is not a regular size school backpack but a smaller child size for toys and story books etc. It is perfect for 3 to 6 yr olds, toting stuff to grandmas. Made very well, sturdy and heavy duty. My 4 yr old grandson loves it!

My nephew loves dinosaurs and when I saw this on overstock.com I just had to get it for him. He is a big fan of the Triceratops! Thanks for coming through for me and having this product in stock. He just loved it, he now carrys his dinosaur figures in it, how fitting. Lisa

The dinosaur backpack is beautiful. The quality and durability are great and the design is straight from a child's imagination. The size, however, is more suited to a lunch box than a backpack. This is not appropriate for school use as you can't fit a folder in unless you fold it in half. For little children that would just use this for a few toys and maybe a snack, it's perfect. Just be sure that you aren't looking for a full sized pack!
