  • Great b-day gift for our 6yr old.

Gave this to our daughter for her 6th birthday, she loves it....Although it can be tough to find everything she wants to see. You must be VERY steady & carefull to not touch the scope after you've found what your looking for.

  • I've Got My Fingers Crossed!

I have purchased this as a Crhristmas gift for my boyfiriend and I have my fingers crossed that it's going to be perfect. I read reviews on this site and many other sites and found this to be an excellent telescope. He loves all things about the moon, stars, meteors and weather. I thought it would be fun for him to have this. The brand is a very good brand and this is a good telescope for beginning to intermediate stargazers.

Thanks for your interest, the maximum height of the Celestron PowerSeeker Telescope with the tripod fully extended and the optical tube level to the ground is 48 inches. If you point the optical tube as high as possible, the full height extends to 62 inches. Hope this helps. overstockcustomercare1 on Feb 13, 2013
