Stormtracker Elite TV/ Lantern/ AM/FM/ Weather Band

From the information on Overstock I could not determine if it would alert without being on which was my goal. I decided to order it anyway and was disappointed to find out that it did indeed have to be on in order to give an alert. My goal was to have my son and his family awakened at night in case of severe storm. The screen will not work after Jan -09, but I did know that in advance. My son and his family decided to keep it. Suggestion: increase information or add a site where more information can be researched.

This item is just what everyone should have for emergency use. Convenient, practical and very useful.

I just received my stormtracker tv, etc. as an anniversary gift. The tv works only on house current, not the batteries within the unit. Nothing is stated in any literature I read stating this important fact. What good is that during a storm with a power outage? Certainly, if I knew that was the case, I would not have ordered the unit. Unit is easy to program for various duties, such as date, time, weather sations, etc.

I bought the stormtracker for my Dad for x-mas. He seemed to really like it. He has a 27ft. Boat and it will come in handy for Lake Erie. The storms brew up quickly in this shallow lake. He also seem to really enjoy the mini T.V. and especially the cell phone charger. I'd rate this product a 4, fairly well, especially for the price!! I really enjoyed purchasing this product through Overstock, because I didn't have to pay shipping and handling which would have cost a arm and leg. I will definitely order more products through Overstock!! Keep up the Good Work!!
