Black Pine +10-degree Mummy Sleeping Bag

Nice sleeping bag, but bigger than I thought it would be. I would not recommend it for backpacking. If you don't have to carry it (only take it out of the trailer or car), it's great. Consider what you'll use it for before purchasing. Good value for the price.

I haven't used this bag outside yet but I got in it in the house and it was very comfortable & was very well made. It isn't too hard to get in the case either.

I bought this mummy bag for a fall camping trip, but unfortunately, Indian Summer has interfered and it was not nearly as cool as we would have liked. I can say that the bag was extremely comfortable, the extra length was a bonus, and I expect that it will serve me well in much colder weather. I liked the hood, which is lightweight, black and covers the head; it allowed me to "sleep in" a bit because it deflected the morning light. As for durability, the dogs stampled all over it and didn't leave a mark, plus we jammed it into the stuff sack a few times and it fit w/o straining or tearing. Overall, a very good purchase. I couldn't keep my 8-year old out of it and now I must buy one for her, too.

This bag is designed for those of us who are not going to be climbing Everest, or doing a hike-thru on the Appalachian Trail, yet it's reasonably light and will do great on shorter trips and family outings. It's the perfect bag if you want your kids (or yourself) to be warm on scouting trips, but don't want to spend a ton of cash on something they might not use a lot. Can't speak to durability as I haven't had it really long, but as for the rest, you'll likely be satisfied.
