Haven't had a chance to use it camping yet, but it arrived quickly and looks great. I'm a pretty small person and my husband is 6' 3" and we both fit comfortably in it. Looks like it will hold up well, a little bit bigger than we expected. Can't wait to try it out!

I purchased this tent after the zipper on our Eureka Tetragon 9 failed twice during trips - the second failure after Eureka sent me a new zipper pull. We got along with safety pins and a blanket pinned over the door to save that trip. But I'm through with non-outfitter-quality tents. Car campers don't need ultra-light, and it's worth it to pay extra for a #10 zipper and two doors (the Eureka had one) if you have kids or anyone who might enter and exit the tent a lot without being gentle to the zipper. The fact that this tent costs less on overstock.com than its lower-quality competition in camping stores makes it a deal you should snap up now, before it's gone. Besides the zippers, it has 11mm fiberglass poles, one size heavier than usual, a floor almost twice as heavy as the non-ZF model of this tent, and a fuller rain-fly than many tents. We were familiar with Alps Mountaineering quality from their camp chair, which is rated for a person weighing up to 425 pounds! I only weigh 200, and don't worry about our 10-year-old jumping into my lap on that chair! We put a queen-size inflatable mattress and a double-size inflatable in this tent, leaving little floor room but we all sleep really well that way. The tent is 8x10 and the doors are on the long sides, which means that they'll be on the front and back if you use big mattresses as we do. However, they are big doors, and they open opposite of each other, so the back one will admit the person on the left without much disturbance to a person on the right, and vice-versa. The ZF model has no side windows (which the non-ZF Meramac seems to have from the photo I've seen). The windows in the doors are large enough. There is no way to close the mesh vents at the top, although the rain fly will be over them. This will mean that your tent won't get internal condensation, but might be a bit colder than one with zipper flaps over the vents (like the Eureka Tetragon). The next time we do camping with 40-degree nights, I might try throwing a polyester blanket over those vents, under the fly. This tent seems taller than the Eureka Tetragon 9, and the attic is smaller than the Eureka. There are two pockets. Since my family likes more storage than tent attics and pockets ever provide, I bought two Zen Class Travel Organizers to use inside of the tent. No rain test yet. Meramac 5 ZF FG Specs: Base Size: 8' x 10' Center Height: 6' Tent Area: 80 sq. ft. Tent and Fly Weight: 14 lb. 3 oz. Total Weight: 15 lb. Packed Size: 8" x 25" Pole Diameter: 11 mm Sorry that the software has discarded my paragraph breaks! At least in the preview I saw. Overstock.com guys, please fix that.

This sleeping bag was the best thing we took camping wth us!! It was so cozy during the nights when temps got down in low thirties that we had to ditch our thermal underwear!! Excellent purchase, I'm so glad we invested in this. The double zippers were also great for not having to climb over each other, very heavyduty. The drawstrings on the top as well as the velcro straps all helped out in stopping any drafts that would usually chill us to the bone. Over all we are totally satisfied with this sleeping bag! They were not kidding when they said Grizzly is the best. Also FYI we had shopped quite a bit for our bag before making our purchase, and noticed that other companies were going to take up to three weeks to ship (its pretty heavy)even paying extra for expedited shipping but overstock.com had this bag on its way and in our hands in about four business days !!! Thanks overstock not only for having the best in stock but for getting it to us in time for our family vacation!

This is a wonderful bag. I have never slept so warm, in fact I was a little too warn with temprature in the 30's. The only problem is stuffing the bag into the carrier. It does take a little time and effort. The cotton lining feels so much better than cold nylon.

We bought this double bag to withstand the cold summer nights tent camping in the Rockies and the Dakotas. The external canvas is sturdy, but doesn't smell like our old scout bags, and the inside is soft. We camped last night with it (low of 40 F) and it was really warm. You could easily use it in a cabin in colder temperatures. The bag rolls up larger than the tent, so be aware that it takes up a lot of your space. It is too heavy for anything other than car camping, but if you like a little luxury, this is great on top of the blow up mattress. The bottom is attached, and the zippers, which are large and easy to maneuver, go down to the bottom. You would have to professionally clean this. My husband is 6', and he said that some one a few inches taller could fit in it comfortably. It is wide enough that we could have added a kid (you could get two toddlers in with the parents if they don't kick). Very happy with this product, but I am unhappy that it is made in China and not North America.

I've never had such a comfortable bag before and I've had many of them. The lining is very soft and it's very lofty so it feels something like a nice down blanket. It has many useful features, like over-sized zippers, large baffles to cover the zipper, draw strings in a couple places near the opening to close up the "hood" and the top edge of the bag around you. Also there are large velcro flaps at the top of the zipper to keep the bag from unzipping up during the night. There are also small pockets just inside the bag to store something like a wallet. Our first use the temps dropped to 40 degrees and it contained our warmth so well that there were no cold spots. That is a first for me. I never woke once during the night. My wife loves the bag as well. I'm so impressed I'm getting a couple for for my kids and tossing out the old bags.

AWESOME...... Perfect all around.... Soft on the inside and Canvas on the outside so it does NOT slide off of the Cabin bed.... Warm enough but we use it in a cabin.... if we where big campers I might have gone with a warmer one.... But it is perfect for us... it fit hubby and I perfect and we are not the smallest people in town and i do believe one morning a 6 yr old slid in between us.... 6 yr old add on not a perfect plan but it worked for a few hours.... 5 stars all the way.... In fact I am thinking about buying 3 for the kids.... (since their bags have that slippery business on the outside...) and then perhaps i wont get the extra vistor in the morning.... Happy sleeping!

the outside isn't canvas, its that smooth, shiny fabric called "ripstop". We wanted canvas but they were out of stock. Otherwise its good.

Purchased for spouse's wildland fire travel kit. Perfect for a full size bed set up in a camper/trailer. Would be a bit snuggly for two people. Lots of room to stretch out. Soft flannel inside; canvas on the outside (none of that nasty slick material). Seems more like a "real" bed without the hassle. Then again, rolling it up and putting it back in the bag is quite a workout, but well worth it.

We just got back from a camping trip and couldn't be happier with this sleeping bag. My husband isn't a small man and we had plenty of room. Very nice.

I purchased this for a first time camping trip. I tried it out in my back yard where the ground has not yet warmed up. I live in washington State. I could not feel the coldness of the ground and the ground was very cold. The bag is very well made and super comfortable. It is heavy per the description.. this will be used for car camping. Not at all recommended for hiking. We were able to get the bag in the carry bag that was provided for the sleeping bag and it took two of us to make it happen. I had to roll and sit, roll and sit to decrease the batting within the bag. I will be using straps in the future to secure it. I'm very happy with this purchase

This bag is so warm. When we went camping, everyone wanted it because it was so nice. The "duffle" that you store it in wasn't very good, but I highly recommend the sleeping bag.

Bag is warm, rugged, and comfortable. The stuffed/compressed bag is a little big and bullky so its not ideal for backpacking but perfect for regular camping. Would definitely buy another if I had a use.

This sleeping bag is AWESOME!!! The flannel lining inside is super cozy and I love that you can zip it open on either side. It's so roomy that our 3 and 5 year old toddlers can even get in to cozy up with us during those cold mornings. And the canvas on the outside of the bag is so much nicer than the ones with the nylon. This bag also has a small pocket on the inside of the upper layer. It's a bit bulky when you roll it up to pack it or store it, but it came with a large storage sack that you can compress down and it's pretty easy to get the bag into the sack. My only disappointment was that you can't unzip the bag all the way around to separate them and make two separate bags. But that aside...this bag is all you need...leave all the extra blankets at home!

A nice overall impression for a first time customer. The web site was informative with good pictures. The pricing was very fair. Shipping, even for an over sized sleeping bag was super at 4 days from order. The sleeping bag was well made and will last during many a cold night. The only down side as others have written was the storage bag that it came with. Lose the bag and buy a compression bag. Overall though a great product delivered in a timely manner at a good price.

Feels very comfy, like a heavy down comforter with lots of softness and it is roomy. For once, I will be warm but it is heavy and difficult to get back in the bag without help. You won't be able to zip this together with another bag to make a double.

bought this bag for indoor use because i keep it around 50-55 in here. i'm in a trailer so it's hard to keep it warm without huge electrical bill. don't think i would want it in -25. i have a northface mummy bag (cats meow) but i don't have much room in it. this one keeps me warmer for sure. its comfy, durable and has plenty or room. better then what i thought it was gonna be. good bag for the price.
