A Good Starter Set
I received the weights and barbell set within 10 days of placing my order. Overall very happy with the purchase, the solid plates seem very durable and the barbells are good quality. This is a good starter set. I wish that Overstock sold a squat barbell and additional plates without barbells to compliment the collection. Overall good buy.

Good for the money
As a starter weight set this is perfect. I should probably mention that the bar was too small for the most recent Olympic size weight bench I purchased. You'll also grow into this set rather quickly as there's only about 80 pounds of weight you can actually put on each bar, but for two dumbell bars and 1 bar to bench with, this is a good deal. The weights do have a faint odor but so does every weight set I have used. My only complaint is that the long bar pictured doesn't really come with clips, it comes with another set of rubber lined star screw on thingies. They work just fine but they can take forever to get off of the long threads on the bar.

Great for a guy like me.
The only reason I gave this 4 Stars is because the plastic on the Bar Bell grips was chipped in shipping, A couple of the weights were flaking a little. Otherwise a great set. I used to do push-ups but can't anymore so I use the weights instead.

What is up with the packaging??
When this package arrived, I was appalled at the condition of the box. There seemed to be no precautions taken to ensure that the package arrived in one peice. The box had a huge hole in it, the size of the largest weight in the box. I had to take pictures to make sure that I could file a claim if anything was missing. I counted all of the weights and everything was there, but overall I was extremely disappointed in the packaging job. I don't think I will be ordering anything that heavy from Overstock again.

OVERALL QUALITY IS OK
The plate has rust. shipping package was poor, scratched the chrome bar totally. If you are a perfectionist type of people, you should definitely not buy.

Basic Barbell & Dubbell Weight set
This is a good basic barbell and dumbell set that will provide many years of use.I like the look and durability of the grey coated weights. These steel weights are much more useful than concrete weights that other companies offer.
