  • Gets loose quick

    Overall not a bad set of bars. The handles can be a bit rough until you have developed some good calluses and/or invested in a good set of gloves (or both). I use mine with a mix of concrete filled plastic weights and steel plate weights. My biggest gripe is that after a few reps, I find that the star wheel gets loose. I had bought some of the spring clips that had worked on my similar star-style barbell, but the diameter of the dumbbells is a little thinner so they don't work either. I just find that I have to tighten up the star wheels in between reps when I am resting. Not a deal breaker, but it would be nice if they locked in place.
