bright, and sturdy
I havent actually opened the package yet because its a christmas gift for my son. But when I received the package the foam seems to be sturdy (wont crumble). The colors are great (good for boy or girl). I was kind of worried because I saw some other mats for sale for a lower price, but these appear to be better quality.

cute, colorful playmat
I bought this playmat to keep in my daughter's toyroom, and it forms a cute, colorful playarea. It was easy to assemble, you can keep them the way you want to arrange. Its made up of foam and easy to clean. My daughter's friends like to play and take the pieces out :D But they are kids afterall ! I like this playmat.

I purchased this for a 3 yr old who is just learing the alphabet in his process of going thru speach Rx and it will be a big help plus make his therapy a fun process..

Functional and educational
I have been trying to find a floor mat like this in stores for the longest time. When I found it on Overstock.com, I was happy, but hesitant. Not being able to see the dimensions and thickness in person concerned me. No concern was needed. The pieces are nice and durable (as much as such things can be around toddlers!), it lets my son play on a surface softer than the wood floors, and he loves playing with the alphabet pieces. He is recognizing and calling letters by name much faster now that we have the mat. As he pulls the letters, we pronounce them, and afterwards, he puts them all back, again calling them by name. It has been one of the best products thus far that I have bought for my son.
