Cast Iron Stove Top
 from OHIO,  Jun 23, 2008

I used this camping one time. It didn't fit together correctly. The burner controls were poor. Could not cook with anything less than high heat. Will not use it again and wish I had not purchased it. Very dissatisfied. After you buy the regulator hose the cost is no savings to a better stove top.

Unhappy
 from Maryland,  Jan 4, 2010

I am very disappointed in the fact that this stove is only used with an adapter that was NOT mentioned anywhere on this website. And come to find out, this piece is very essential and the stove does not work without it. I guess once I find the adapter that connects to the pole on the stove, than it might work.

The product arrived in a sealed and stapled manufacturers box. It was missing parts and one of the grills was broken off. I returned it for a full refund.

  • How accurate was the sizing? N/A
  • Please tell us about the quality of the product. Very poor
  • Was the product free of any manufacturer defects? No

Not as it appears
 from L.A.,  Jan 1, 2010

I had a cast iron, single burner, propane stove that looked very similar to this one. I needed a double burner and decided to purchase this unit I saw on Overstock.com. When this double arrived, the first thing I noticed was how thin the cast iron was and what a cheap feel it had. I didn't know they could cast an iron burner this thin. I felt that I would crack the iron on the legs if I turned the screw too tight that fastened the legs to the body. I was dissapointed to say the least. I was going to return it but didn't feel it was worth it to repack and pay shipping costs back. I'll keep it, but will probably not get much use from it. Don't waste your money on a Buffalo Tools product.

CA Camper
 from CA,  Oct 8, 2009

Stove was easy to put together and will be great ONCE I can find the adapter to use with my tank with pole. There is nothing on manufacturers site or any where else for part listed on box.

Buffalo Tools Triple Burner Portable Cast Iron Sto
from New York State,  Jul 20, 2009

We bought the 3 burner Portable Cast Iron Stove last summer. We would have preferred the double burner, but didn't find it until later. The stove was a little difficult to put together. This summer, 2 of the legs have broken off. The burners are hard to regulate. We use the stove during our camping trips and have not found the correct connection for it to hook up to a gas tank. We end up using the hose for our gas grill that is connected to our camper. We can't use both the grill and stove at the same time because we haven't found the correct connection. Not the best deal for your money.
