Great price, good product! I use this range finder for work. I do field engineering work and have to get distances between telephone poles. I only use it in places I cant walk to with a wheel tape. It is accurate (yards or meters only) and is easy to read. The one thing I was disappointed about was once I got it, some of the rubber abound the grips wasn't perfectly in its place. But...I paid $103 for an 800 yd range finder when I could have paid twice that for a 200 yd range finder. Its good for what I use it for. Ive used it out to 225 yds and then measured it to verify the accuracy. Its always within 3 ft of being correct. This is because if it reads that the distance is 101 ft, it will display 34 yds. (33 yds x 3 = 99ft.) (34 yds x 3=102 ft). Would highly recommend this for the value.

Don't Use For Golf! I take full responsibility for purchasing a product and using it for an activity for which it was not designed!! That being said, for you GOLFERS, take heed. My intention here is not to bash the product, but to save some money for YOU. I was hoping to get an inexpensive alternative to the more expensive "golf" range finders, because my intention was to only use it on the driving range (not on the course). All I wanted to do was "shoot" the flag sticks while practicing to dial in my iron distance. My results: It is VERY difficult, if not impossible to get an accurate reading. The unit regularly gives me 5 different yardages with 5 attempts...to the point where I don't know what to trust. Best I can tell, it will lock on various areas of the terrain around the flag stick (behind, in front, to the side) with one of those results POSSIBLY being the flag stick itself...but I don't know which!!! So, pretty much, it is useless for my purposes. To be fair, if you are a HUNTER and not a golfer, this may be the best thing since sliced bread. If I range a larger object, like a parked golf cart, it does seem to work well. So, maybe this would suit you if you need ranges to a buck, bear, moose or whatever, that is LARGER than the limp flag on a flag stick.
