easy to assemble, instructions minimally easy to follow.. tools were in box but placed in a situation that made difficult to find.. instructions did not mentionRead More
I like this piece of equipment. Computer doesn't work correctly, but the apparatus works the way I want it to.Read More
This rower is better quality than expected for the price. It took about 25 minutes to assemble. The directions were fairly simple. I'm 5'6., wear a size 8 shoe and don't ha any problem keeping my feet in....just tighten the straps well. The seat squeaks a bit during the gliding motion but I t wd40 will take care of that. Overall a really decent machine for the price.Read More
It is a solid machine, works very well. I am very happy with this purchase.Read More
An good exercise machine for the price. Fairly light weight and easy to use - stores nicely. Uses a piston with adjustable resistance to create resistance levels for rowing, which works pretty well. The only down side is that once the piston heats up (after a couple of minutes - which is normal) it loses some of its resistance, so you can't maintain the same level of difficulty through out the exercise session that you started with. That being said, it is a good machine for a basic workout. If maintaining high levels of resistance for longer workouts is a priority though, a rowing machine that uses a different way to create resistance might be worth thinking about.Read More
I've used this machine about 3 times a week for 2 months. It is smooth and is comfortable to use. The rowing mechanism feels solid and gives a good workout. It has a short rowing stroke because it's a small machine (compared to professional gym equipment). The arms fold down and it stands up on it's end for storage. It doesn't fold flat (it would not fit under a bed), but it's compact enough to put in a corner or in a closet. It's a little bit heavy for me to move into the corner for storage, but I can manage it by myself. As the other reviewer mentioned, I have to wear full sized athletic shoes so my feet don't slip out. Running shoes or tennis shoes work fine. Overall, it's a good product.Read More
velcro is starting to rip from sewn strap after a week if having it and continues to come undone while exercising - pain to have to keep stopping to adjustRead More
Well, I've been reading the reviews of a bunch of rowing machines, and kept studying quite a few of them before deciding to purchase the Stamina Body Trac. I'm glad I did. It's a great machine, works the body which is what I was after. There are 12 levels, I'm on 5 and up to 25 minutes. The foot straps are an issue. That is my only complaint. I truly enjoy the machine! My daughter tried it and is buying one too.Read More
I am very happy with the row machine. Its simple to use but it does take upper body strength. I can tell already that I am getting stronger. You can feel it working on your upper body. Its also great for the legs in building strength and muscle. I would recommend to anyone. I purchased this machine to help me regain muscle and it definitely is helping me. I am most satisfied.Read More

Treadmills vs Elliptical Trainers

Two exercise machines that have gained popularity are elliptical trainers and treadmills. A major advantage to elliptical trainers is that they possess little risk of injury to the knees, hips, back or ankles. Meanwhile, treadmills are home gym machines on which you can run, walk or jog. The treadmill has been in the marketplace for a long time and is a long-standing piece of standard equipment for most exercise enthusiasts. Elliptical Machines: Elliptical machines present a lower risk of injury to the body. This home gym machine allows the individual to stand in an upright position while supporting her upper body by holding onto the handrails. The individual is able to pick out what muscles to train by shifting the strength on the legs or the arms. This provides for a more flexible workout machine. The machine bears its name because it works to copy the foot's elliptical motion as well as the rotation of the hip during walking or running. Advantages of Elliptical Machines: Since elliptical machines work the upper and lower body, they help you reach your target heart rate more optimally, providing a better cardiovascular workout overall. Individuals can burn a larger number of calories in a shorter period of time. Muscles that benefit from this machine include the legs, shoulders, chest, biceps, triceps and the back. Elliptical machines are also relatively easy to operate and are energy efficient because they do not use much electricity. Treadmills: Traditional treadmills were developed to help you walk, run or jog. Treadmills differ in advantages as there are some machines that have programs that can be customized based on your weight and fitness level. You can also manually control the program to increase or decrease the speed, the incline or the duration of the workout. Walking on a traditional treadmill, however, creates more impact on the knees and hips and may be a cause of injury for some users. Advantages of Treadmills: Some treadmill models have a cushioned surface to support the knees and other parts of the body. With these models, there is a lower risk of injury and an increased level of comfort for the user. Moreover, treadmills provide you with the option to run, jog or walk in the comfort of the gym. Also, you can burn calories by increasing the heart rate, providing a good cardiovascular workout. Buy Home Gym Machines Back to Guides Directory Buy Home Gym Machines
