I bought this for my neice's 1st birthday and she loved it!!!!! She was mezmorized watching the doll move and play happy birthday! So sweet!

My daughter-in-law really liked this little doll for my granddaughter on her birthday. However, it is small, about the size of a fist according to her. It's the kind of doll for decorative purposes, to put on a shelf of a sweet little girl's room. I gave it 4 stars because of the size.

I sent this directly to my niece's home for her 5th Birthday. She liked the doll very much but it is now sitting on a shelf though because it is more of a collectible-type doll than a play doll. I also sent some Silly Bandz which she actually liked even more. I'm sure it looks very cute in her room.

This doll is so adorable! I gave it to my grand-daughter for her first birthday. She is a little too young for it because she wants to rough house the doll. It is a sturdy little doll but more for looking at & enjoying the "birthday song" tune. Her older cousins aged 16 months to 13 years really liked it so I'd say it was a big hit. The box did come a little crunched but I made it work. I'm giving it 4 stars because of the box but overall, I'm very pleased with my purchase. Oh, I have to mention that it came in just 2 days. That's impressive, Overstock!

I ordered this doll and the fairy doll for my daughter who just turned 3 years old. At first sight the dolls seemed smaller than expected and thought to be overpriced,. but after close inspection I realized these dolls are all hand made and very sweet. They are delicately made. The music box plays nicely and my daughter likes to watch closely as the doll moves its little head from side to side while it plays happy birthday. The hair needs to be fluffed out and arranged since it is packaged tightly to prevent it from being damaged. This is not a doll to be played with roughly but one to be placed neatly on a shelf or ledge and admired... My daughter likes listening to the music box as she falls asleep at night...Very sweet..

I ordered the doll for my niece's Birthday. Since I had it shipped directly to her I didn't get to see it. However, my mom loved it so much and thought it was so precious that she asked me to order more for some of her other granddaughters. She told me that it was pretty, delicate but made well, and lovely to touch.

I, too, could not wait until she's older. My grand niece is only 2 months old, but I had to have this for June,2010 - her firstt birthday. The first of many can be interpreted two ways...the first of many birthdays or the first of many of these dolls (it's actually the second of many of these dolls because I gave her one with my name to remember me by. They are absolutely beautifully made as well as beautiful to look at. They're really for a collection to decorate her room. I can't picture them being played with until a child is old enough to appreciate their delicate accessories and beautiful frilly dresses. I can't imagine anyone outgrowing them. I'm starting my own collection as my mother was compulsive about throwing her children's things away...all the way up to adulthood!

Very sweet gift for a little birthday girl. Sturdy enough to withstand some play, and a very nice keepsake for display. If you are giving this as a gift, you may want to re-box it. The box the mfg uses has a nice print on it, but the one we received was in rough shape (creased/crushed, and very worn at the edges). In no way detracts from the value of the gift (especially to my 2 yr old)...just FYI.

The birthday cake doll I purchased was never seen my me, but the 5 year old that rec'd it loved it. Members of my family raved over how cute it was. Sturdy enough to be played with for a few days and then put away til another birthday.

Love these dolls. Trying to get the whole collection for one year old niece. This was perfect for her first birthday.
