Nice quality, excellent for scanning landscapes, but since it is autofocus I found that it will not focus on a smaller object if the trees are in the way. Not good for bird watching because the binoculars focus very sharply on the tree but fuzzy on the bird.

I got this as a gift for someone for Christmas. I am not sure how he liked them yet. However, I was surprised that they items were not shipped in a box with the smiley face as it is previewed on the television. I thought for a minute that the item had come from some where else until I saw the invoice.

These Bushnell binoculars are the second pair of the same binocular I have owned. Gave the first pair to a friend that greatly admired them on a vacation this year. The recently purchased pair seem to have some kind of improvement done to the fine focus adjustment. They are actually clearer than the first and I am very happy with them. Carry them frequently on bicycle rides.

I own 4 pair of binoculars including the perma focus, they are by far the best. Awesome is the word that best describes these binoculars. Whether wearing my glasses or not they focus automatically to your eyes in milliseconds. Great conversation piece, people want to know how they do it. The best is viewing moving objects, no more adjusting the lens, just point and view. I have not found any negatives. Completely satisfied with this product.

This binocular was by a trusted manufacturer, but for some reason was defective. I reordered a different Bushnel binocular and am well satisfied with the way my return and credit was handled. I did have to do more communication that I felt was necessary when I was charged for freight when I stated the product was defective. In the in, I received all my credit.
Telescopes have long been regarded as the primary tool for amateur and professional astronomers. But for backyard stargazers, the right tool could be a high-quality pair of binoculars. Just as if you were buying a telescope, though, you want to consider several factors and features of the different kinds of binoculars before making your purchase.
If you have read our Binoculars Buying Guide, you know what to look for when you're shopping. If you'd like extra features in your binoculars that make them truly special, then consider these. You can often find great discount binoculars with plenty of extras by shopping online. Many outdoor activities have recently grown in popularity, including nature watching with binoculars. From watching larger animals, like deer and bear, to watching delicate birds or raptors in flight, a pair of binoculars is an important accessory. They can also give you a better view at a concert or sporting event, and you may not have known that you can use binoculars for star gazing. The world has so many amazing things out there for you to see, and to see it all clearly, you'll need binoculars. If you are not sure how to buy them, let this buying guide help you focus on your new hobby.
Whether you're an outdoorsman, sports fan, star gazer or sightseer, a good pair of binoculars is a must. Binoculars bring the view to you in spectacular detail making your favorite activities even better. Finding a pair of binoculars that does what you want it to do will improve almost any outdoor activity.
Thanks to the zooming power of binoculars, you can gain access to sights that would otherwise be inaccessible. Binoculars are perfect for bird watching, taking on a hike and a plethora of other uses. However, spotting sights are only as good as the maintenance that goes into them. A broken or dirty pair of binoculars isn't going to do the job correctly. Whether you have a pair of bird watching binoculars, night vision binoculars, a monocular or any other variety of binoculars, they'll only work correctly if you give them the proper care. Make sure you keep the window to nature open by keeping your binoculars in good working condition. Here are some tips to make sure your binoculars have a long shelf life.
A spotting scope is a good alternative to binoculars and telescopes. Spotting scopes have more range of magnification than binoculars and are easier to carry and more compact than telescopes.
Spotting scopes, sometimes referred to as monoculars, are small, telescope-like optics that began as tools used by the military. Today, they are widely used in the consumer market for hunting, bird watching, viewing ships, scoring shooting range targets and photography. Spotting scopes can mount on a common camera tripod and are quite suitable for daytime use. They provide more magnification than binoculars and are more portable than most telescopes.
There's quite a bit of science that explains night vision, but only a few terms will be important as you choose a night vision device. When you're searching for optics and binoculars to use for night vision, you will want to pay attention to such things as light amplification, resolution and clarity. The following terms can help you understand what aspects of your night vision device will affect how well you see when you use it.
Amateur astronomy equipment ranges from telescopes that will barely fit in the back of a truck and expensive computerized navigation systems to inexpensive binoculars and basic star maps, with everything in between. If you're a beginning hobby astronomer, where should you start? Are refracting telescopes best, or are reflecting telescopes? Should you buy the most expensive telescope you can or start small? You can ask hundreds of different questions about buying a first telescope, but a good way to begin your research is to clear up a few common myths about telescopes.
Night vision devices have been in use since World War II, but in recent years, night vision has become available to civilians as well. Night-vision devices allow you to see in very low lights. Like other optics and binoculars, night-vision devices can also magnify objects so they will appear closer, but the main use of night vision is to see things that your eye wouldn't normally be able to see in the dark or in low light. With all of the great uses for night vision, you may want to join in the fun, but if you're not sure how to buy night vision, then it can be tricky to know where to start. This night vision buying guide was designed to help you understand the different types of night-vision devices so you can find the one that works best for you.
Savvy hunters know that being proficient at their sport involves mastery of more than just a rifle. Hunting optics can make the difference between finding that trophy buck and finding nothing at all, and then it determines whether you hit that trophy buck in the right spot or send your bullet whizzing over his back. This hunting optics buying guide will show you how to buy hunting optics that are right for you.
Invented by accident in 1608 by an eyeglass maker in Holland, telescopes have allowed astronomers to explore the far reaches of the universe. While professional astronomers use massive optics housed in special observatories to conduct their research, amateur astronomers can have great fun and enjoy the beauty of outer space and the Earth using much smaller and far less expensive equipment. Here is some information to help you understand the basic technologies so you can choose the telescope that will work best for you.
