I wanted a small set of binoculars but with a decent sized objective lens, for camping, hiking and outdoor activities. I felt that 42 mm was as large as I could go and still feel like I was not carrying around a full size pair of binoculars up a mountain. They fit nicely into a small pack or fanny pack for day hikes and offer good performance up on the mountain in many light conditions. I've been wanting a pair for awhile and between them being waterproof, phase coated and having a nice solid feel to them I know that I've made the right choice with these. I was not ready to spend several hundred on a pair of optics and they fit my need perfectly. I would recommend to anyone looking for the same features I was after, because I found them in these nocs'.
