  • Does Not Live Up to Expectations

    I was so excited to locate this item, as my husband is an avid bird-watcher, and he likes to take pictures of birds he spies. This is difficult when having to use both a pair of binoculars and a separate camera. The Barska Digital Binoculars seemed like the perfect solution to his dilemma. When the Barska Binoculars arrived (as a Christmas gift for him), the left eyepiece was broken and could not be focused. I returned the broken binoculars for a replacement. When the second pair arrived, my husband enthusiastically tried to use it but was very disappointed. His major complaints are: 1) The binoculars and camera are not tied together. What you see through the binoculars is not what you see on the camera display, so you must relocate and refocus the display on your subject before shooting (most times the birds have flown before you can do this, meaning a missed shot. He compared this problem to having to use a separate pair of binoculars and camera as he was doing before. 2) The LCD display was so small that it was difficult to tell if you had a clear image or not. 3) The picture quality was grainy, fuzzy and otherwise subpar. The Barska Digital Binoculars is a great idea for avid birders, but they just do not provide the quality that is necessary or desired. This is not a product we would recommend to others.
