I kayak and bought these since my last pair sank out of sight. While I did not test the float-ability or water proof nature of these... I was able to use them for a concert viewed in kayak last week-end. I wanted binocs that would bring me close up, but not so much power that the near constant movement in water would make me sick. These binocs were very easy to use, you could get the right magnification and a clear picture within seconds. I was passing to friends in boats and they changed the angle several times to match their eye spacing. I was worried about getting the bigger pair, but was glad to have them because the view was so great. Love the bright yellow color, easy to find at night.
