Comes in two thin long boxes. I was worried that it was not going to be sturdy because the wood is thin. Once it was all put together we did buy 2x4 that we dug into the ground on both side to anchor it to because it was moving a little when my 6 yr old would get high on swings.
The playset is exactly as described, seems sturdy and believe the kids will have years of fun on it. It does take A LOT of time to put together as it is very large with numerous pieces. The finish was already peeling off the wood in some places so that will need to be addressed very soon. Because it is wood it is NOT maintenance free and I am sure I will have to put a sealer on it annually. Good product for the price!!!!
I bought this for my son's 4th birthday and I'm extremely happy with it. I wasn't missing any parts of hardware. The wood was good quality and the hardware was as well. It seems very safe and well made. It took 2 adult men about 12-14 hours to put together entirely which was done in one day (one very long day). My recommendation is to take everything out of the boxes and organize all of the wood first by placing all of the like pieces together and also organize them by letter to make it easier to find when the time comes, there are a TON of wood parts. Do the same with the hardware but leave it all in the bags so things don't get mixed up or lost. Definitely use a socket for the lag bolts with hex heads and make sure you have an electric drill with Torx bits, it will make your life a lot easier. Overall I feel like I got a very good deal for the amount of money this cost.
I haven't even opened this yet, it is a Christmas present, but...the value I think was wonderful and the shipping was super fast even though it was free! I am actually looking in to buying another one for other grandkids just waiting on notification from my kids HOA. I think even if it has to be strengthened at some point it is well worth the money.
The playhouse took my son-in-law and me 1 1/2 days to put together. Then, when we let the kids swing on it, it looked very unsafe. The materials used to support the beam the swings hung on weren't strong enough to support my 8 year old granddaughter.
