Binoculars are defective; one side won't adjust. They seem of lower quality than similar binoculars available locally.

I purchased the binoculars for my 9 year old son. I made my purchase based on previous reviews. They are quite compact, which is a perfect fit for my son's hands, but the quality really surprised me....in a good way. It is very sturdy and I love the fact that it has it's own case.
