good container for safety sake
certainly cannot be compared with cabinets that cost HUNDREDS of dollars more, but it does keep the items in question out of the sight of folks that do not need to know about them. It locks with a key, so you do not have to worry about remembering combinations. it is attractive for what it is and where it goes ( inside another closet ) but i am happier knowing that the guns are out of the way.

- Was the product free of any manufacturer defects? no, the locking bar on the inside was bent but my husband convinced it to be otherwise and it is just fine .

Broken
Hinge on the doors weld broke first time it was opened. Will be returning. The screws had dirt in them. Not happy with this purchase!

good product, bad shipping
When it was shipped people did not handle it with care. There was a cople of places that was bent and some of.the paint was flakeing of because of it being bent.

Spend more money
Spend the extrw and buy a safe or at least a bigger cabinet. This one says it holds 10 guns and it will as long as not all 10 are scoped. It will hold 7 scoped rifles and 2 shot guns and they are very snug. If you do not want to take the chance of knocking your scope off then spend the extra and buy bigger, if you have more than 8 scoped guns! As far as the cabinet its self, well, it is very thin. The "wood" is paneling, and the lock and handle are very cheap made. It is NOT fire proof, I have read questions about it and overstock said it was, but it isn't. It came to the house were we had to put the whole thing together. It wasn't hard and you really see how cheap made it is. For the moeny I would NOT buy it again nor recomend it.
