For the price the watch was worth it. I would have liked a heavier silver feel, but that would have cost much more. I collect watches as a hobby and this is a nice addition to any collection.

This item is NOT made in the USA as stated. It's Made in CHINA. It's also very poorly made and looks cheap. What a disappointing experience. I have to wonder how many other shoppers have been left with nothing but what seemed like a great Father's Day gift idea instead of a great gift.

I love this watch. I am using it without the chain...I keep it in my purse. I am a substitute teacher, and so many of the clocks don't work in the classrooms. I just take this great watch out and leave it on the desk. It keeps perfect time, and the kids always comment on it. It is really nice for the money. It's easy to see the watch...so handy..

I bought this for my 83 year old father who loves coins and is a veteran. The watch is very shiny and the details are clear. It was very easy to set and seems to be keeping time well. The dial could be a bit easier to read since it has Roman numerals, but he loves it. For him, the eagle design and JFK coin was a perfect look for a pocket watch. I didn't care for the chain it came with (it has large links), but my dad likes it fine. I don't recommend this watch for a young man or teenager. Unless they love coins, they will think it's very old-fashioned looking. However, for people like my dad, who loves old-fashioned looking things, it was a great gift.

I originally bought this watch to give to my cousin for Christmas. Well, when I received it, I was pleasantly surprised at the weight and the detail of the pocket watch. Absolutely stunning! You would probably find this pocket watch at some antique store for at least $100.00 with its rich history of JFK and the American eagle displayed in one. The handcrafting of the detail in the watch is worth the money alone. How Overstock can sell this treasured pocket watch at such a low price, I have no idea. Now, the funny thing is that when I showed my mother the watch, she just about started to cry because I later found out that my grandfather (her father) had always admired JFK and what he stood for, and she always wanted to give him a pocket watch (as he loved them), but could never afford to give him one growing up, and sadly, my grandfather passed away 20 years ago, so she never got the chance. Anyways, I gave her the pocket watch to give to my cousin (her nephew) and told him that since she never had a chance to give my grandfather one, she was now giving him one to cherish and pass onto his son someday. They both cried. End of story.

I purchased this along with some other items for my Husband's Christmas gift. A really beautiful Timepiece, and well worth the price! You won't be disappointed with this item.
