Review on the Alpinizmo 55 High Peak Alpinismo 55 A brand better known in Europe, High Peak has an extensive line of gear at surprisingly low price points but good value.The Alpinismo 55 is a favorite in the line, a terrific weekend pack that weighs in and just over three pounds but performs with simplicity and style. The adjustable harness system means you can tailor the Alpinismo to fit your torso precisely, which, when combined with its body-hugging design, makes for an extraordinarily comfortable pack, made more so by a unique ventilation system. I loaded it up with more than 50 pounds of camping and camera gear for a weekend shoot on the Olympic Peninsula, but even overloaded like that the pack proved comfortable. Exterior side pockets easily took the tripods and the water bottles, and the top loading main compartment swallowed the rest of the gear. The Alpinismo 55 is a top performer at a bargain price.

Nice bag at a reasonable price Used this bag for vacation trip with a lot of different stops. Held up very well throughout trip, even through rain. Adjustable sizing straps and held together nicely. Fairly comfortable when fully loaded. A great alternative to more expensive bags. Would definitely recommend.

Is this a 55L plus 10 at the top? Also, is the size adjustable to a Small? My ideal size is a 33-34 in the torso, which falls under an Xsmall-Small.

The side compression straps wrap around the front to the opposite side of the pack so you can minimize your gear load and still keep everything securely in place.
