Good Flies - Just Too Light
I purchased 2 of these assortments for 5 days of Silver Salmon fishing in Alaska. These are good basic flies nothing fancy. No articulated flies, not as much flash or sparkle in the colors as other assortments that were brought along. However, they were also cheaper than all of the other assortments brought along. The biggest failing of the flies is that they just don't weigh enough. Almost every fly needed a slip shot weight added to make them work, otherwise the fly would just sit an inch below the surface. So overall good flies they just need more weight.
