I got this toy free from a school fundraiser, and at first it was a lot of fun. It did get boring after a while, but it is exactly what the product description said it is. After a year or so the plastic tore, and now it doesn't work anymore.
I think the most frustrating thing was the construction of the toy. The plastic mold where ever this was made needs to up their standards a little. Just do away with the holes that were suppose to match up with the handle and just secure the pieces with the "screws" that came with it. That would have solve the frustration in the first place and gotten rid of one of the steps. It's ok if it's just two steps vs. three or four steps. Steps 3 and 4 aren't necessary. It'll be quicker to use at least. As for longevity, I'm not sure how long the toy would last. Three stars. One for idea, another for the cost, and another for possible enjoyment.
The product is great but it took 12 days before the package was recieved.
-Fun toy for my 8-year-old boy. I like the fact that there are no parts to get lost and that the most common target, the big sister, is not too upset when he blasts her with the harmless puff of air. I don't know if the flexible membrane will last forever, but so far so good.
At first the gun seems cheap. But it is actually very fun and addictive. We had a blast with it...good for kids and adults.
My dad got my grown brothers and I these for Christmas from Edmund's Scientific- I'm sure they are much more expensive there. These are harmless fun, the only problem being their large size and rather non-compact nature...
the airzooka is sweet and overstock got it to me very fast thanks
I bought this for my 10yr old for Christmas. At first he was not impressed with it and thought it was for little kids but after he got the hang of it and experimented with aim and shooting different thing he really enjoys playing with it with his friends. It is a unique toy and funner indoors than out but a hit in our house.
I bought this for our nephew. He has most toys, and loves to play tricks. It took some time to put it together, but he enjoyed it greatly.
Good and fun toy. Assembling a little more complicated than thought.
It is easy to use even my five year old can use it. I picked it up for my 15year old son. All the kids at the party had fun with it I just wish I had more at the time. Great fun
We bought this air shooter for our 5 year old. He loves it but we found that it was hard to put together. We both had to use our hands to squeeze while one of us would push and wedge things together. It only took 10 minutes, and could have been less if the instructions were written instead of just pictures. We are happy we bought it. We advise that you have two people involved - to align the arrows and assemble each plastic piece (remember the function of the AirZooka requires that the shooter piece that is "grabbed and let go of " is very tight so that it "shoots" air, hence the difficulty level to assemble).
This toy is SO great. It's fun and safe for everyone inside or outside. Fast delivery and GREAT service.
I bought this for my nephew for christmas. He just thought it was the coolest thing. We put it together easily and started playing with it. We had a blast!! This is the perfect gift for the boy who seems to have everything!
My son bought one of these while on vacation, so I decided to buy this one for a friend. This one doesn't seem to shoot the air as far as the original one and it wasn't too easy to put together. Definitely needs an adult to assemble. Still was a lot of fun though!
It sends a quick blast of air across the room. I bought it to use on my cats when they go someplace that I don't want them to. It worked so well that I don't want to use it on them anymore for fear it will traumatize them.
This is a fun product, and more than lived up to my 12-year-old son's expectations. I found it here for the best price by far. The toy is too big and difficult to use for a small child, however, so be sure your child (or other user) has enough muscle strength to pull back a large elastic device. It was also a little tricky to assemble, but my son did it himself, so it wasn't too bad.
Fun to play with, but hard to pull back. It caused a bruise on my forearm from the pressure of pulling back the center air launcher. I wouldn't recommend this for smaller children. Teens would love it! But you really need two air guns to have loads of fun!
This is a great toy for me and my son to play with. (I bought 2), but the "Ring inside Ring" design is hard to assemble correctly. Even assembled correctly the rigs tend to collapse when any pressure is applied. Including pulling the plunger while shooting a ball of air. After I had assembled the 2 airzooka's and I was sure that they were functioning correctly, I super-glued the rings together, and have not had any problems since.
***i love overstock.com and i do not fault them at all*** i bought 2 of these and they both were missing pieces AND broken! i had seen similar ones in action before and they are VERY cool, so i bought them for my nephew and one for my classoom. i work with autisstic kids so set up one at my home to bring in . This turned out to be the right choice since my students get upset when things go unexpected! when the item proved defective i was very bummed! my nephew openned his and couldnt wait for dad to put it together, when it was discovered that no one could put it together becaue of missing pieces, this 8 year old boy' face dropped...very sad! ***i love overstock.com and dont fault them with this***
