This thing is awesome, it fits the top rail on my AR15 perfectly, no looseness or slop where it attaches to rifle rail. You can indeed look right down the center after this is attached and still use your iron sights. Bought this to raise my red dot site (when i attached my red dot to the top rail on the AR the dot was looking at the backside of my front site) this piece seems to do the job, I can look thru my red dot site and see over the front site or I can look the the iron sites, best of both worlds. Just need to get to the range and zero in my red dot site, although after attaching to the rifle, the red dot and the iron sites seem to line up very close while I the rifle is on a rest. Also thought I was going to have to paint the piece because of the color shown, but mine was flat black matching my AR

Can it really be that good for such a low price? YES!! I ordered it thinking that if it didn't fit or whatever, then no big deal for just a few bucks. It showed up faster than expected, is a solid, well-built mount, fits perfectly (for detachable handles), and my red dot is super-secure on it. Makes me want to buy another AR just to get the deal again! Iron sights are unobstructed and are in fact made a little easier to line up with the mount on. Buy it!

Great price on this product. Great job Overstock.com, purchased mount, was shipped across the country and had it in hand in less than 3 days (one week before Christmas nonetheless), mounted on rifle 15 minutes later. Excellent quality product (especially for the price). My first purchase from the BIG O and I'm sold.

Cast but machined. Surprisingly good quality and design. Well applied black paint or whatever it is. The thumb nut must be tied down with Loctite as is common with any AR mount. Movable side rails on both sides for accessories such as light or lazer.

This Tree Style carry handle mount is very easy to install. It is very light weight and fits any scope mounts or red dot optics. i got this mount for my AR-15 to mount a scope and a laser for the side of the mount. It works great.

I wanted a mount that I could use with my red dot scope and iron sites. After hours on the internet I came across this mount at overstock.com. Mount fits my AR-15 and my red dot scope perfect. I was concerned about the finish when ordered. However, the finish is perfect along with the price. Over all I am quite satisfied with the mount.

Arrived quickly, installed even faster. Mounted a Red Dot on the mount and it was easily adjusted for my eye's. Recommend that you use a allen wrench to really tighten down and if you don't plan to remove the mount use some Lock-Tight because it can work itself lose after about 200 rnds. Once I did that no problem over 500 rnds. shot and still secure.

I have had a couple of gun-show carry handle mounts that either didn't mate to the handle well, or had issues mounting a sight to the mount. This mount is AWESOME. Nice, tight fit, the AimPoint M2 locks right into it, and stays there. One of my rifles is a Beowulf 50 upper, and 50 rounds later, still rock solid. I'll be buying another one of these mounts for my other rifle, just wanted to check this out and see how well it worked. Passed with flying colors. -T

I agree with the other comments. Great item at a great price. Simple 1 screw installation- Even I was able to handle it!

For those of us that still believe in the necesity of iron sights as part of our rifle (and not a removable "option") but still want the ability to use all the bells and whistles (ie. optics, N.V., Lasers, Lights, etc.... ). The AR carry handle mount I ordered really fills the bill. If my Optics get taken out I can either use the see-thru option or quickly and easily remove it. It's well made and bargain priced.
