For the money a good lil set. I put about 200 rounds on mine, like it a lot
This is the third of these grips that I've ordered. The first two would not fit the rails without just a little bit of filing. The third one had to be hammered in to position with a rubber mallet, and came without mounting hardware. However, the are a fairly sweet deal once you get them mounted. I am disappointed about the missing mounting hardware. All other aspects of the transaction were great.
Does what it is supposed to do. Any fore grip greatly improves handling and balance of an AR, especially when shooting in non shouldered stances. Looks great installed. Piccitinny rail is a bonus and worth the price alone. The rail is metal. The handle is not aluminum as stated but polymer (whuch I like). If you plan to use pressure switches for laser or light on the foregrip, choose the UTG with built in pockets for an extra five bucks or so. If not, this one is all you need. Mounts very solidly.
Great item. Very pleased. Item was very affordable and was delivered very quickly. Overstock has established a great reputation with me. Thanks and I'll see you on the next purchase Ben
just got mine and attached it to my AR-15. When i tightened it down to make it snug and unmovable-the tightning screw just kept spinning. I took the screw out and the internal threads where loose. I super-glued them back in place and now i can tighten it, but it still moves, maybe a 1/16 of an inch.I have others (not this manufactorer) and they tighten ALL the way down and don't move once tight.this might be ok for airsoft, but not a rifle.not worth the money except for maybe the attachment rail. That's a nice piece.
I bought one for my AR. I liked it enough that I bought another for my Saiga (civilian AK), although some minor drilling was required. The handle isn't really rugged enough if you're planning on engaging in hard-core battlefield scenarios, but it's otherwise sufficient for my purposes. The aluminum rail is excellent quality and long enough that I was able to mount a laser sight in front of the handle on my Saiga. (For Saiga owners: I had to move the sling swivel to the left side of the forearm--it works nicely.)
I am a Marine currently out in Iraq and this grip is great. It allows for quicker aiming and much better control and accuracy while standing or moving. It is also very durable. Mine has taken much abuse and is still in perfect codition.
I have not had a chance to install it but it looks like it was all well made.
I actually purchased this fore grip to install on my paintball gun, and it works as advertised. The price could not be beat and it fit perfectly on my marker's rails. I have only used it once so far, but it still fits snugly and seems rock solid. I expect it to last the lifetime of the gun. As noted by another, please note that the grip is a plastic or polymer, NOT metal, but that is what I would want anyway (lighter, no shine, just as strong, etc).
This handle fits and looks great,I was skeptical about it but ended up ording two after I got the first one mounted on the old trusty black iron!
The price of this item is worth it just for the handguard rail alone. Quality is quite good and on par with other AR-15 vertical handgrips I've seen at a higher price. The item description is a bit misleading in that it states "Materials: Aluminum" and "Gun accessories made of Aluminum". But only the rail is aluminum, the handgrip is a molded polymer/plastic. No installation instructions were included, someone not familiar with removing the handguards from an AR-15 style rifle could be at a loss on how to install the rail that the handgrip attaches to. But those were the only detractions... when this item is back in stock, I plan to buy some for the other AR-15 rifles I own.
This front grip works well. For the price it can not be beat. The holes in the rail matched up with the vent holes on my stag 16 inch upper.
