ALPS Outdoorz Horizon Swivel Stool

This chair is very cumbersome to carry. The wood seat is heavy and snags on material in a backback. The cushioned seat doesn't stay on the seat at all and doesn't fold up to fit inside the seat if you are putting it in a back-pack. The white foam-like pads would be comfortable if you could keep them under the pad and on the wood. You can't comfortably even carry this seat under your arm because of the legs and the wood seat. The wood seat does swivel but it creaks when you move and I'm not sure if that means it is breaking or just getting broken-in. The chair is quite high when assembled the way they intend you to use it--too high for me to use my shooting sticks and rifle from while sitting on the stool. You can use it in a low position but the hooks under the wood seat will eventually poke a hole into the fabric. Definitely not something that I will ever use again. I would have left it under a spruce tree if I didn't believe that we have to take out what we take in to the woods. KK

I love this chair even though I did some mods to it. I cut the carry bag off because it made the chair hard to open in a quiet manor and I covered the metal legs with cloth tape so it doesn't ting off every branch it rubs against. I sewed a strap on the bag and made it a carry bag for calls, scents etc.

Stool is nice and should be great for what I plan to use it for. The flip lid was not centered on the seat so I had to fix that, I am not sure it was assembled correctly from the manufacturer.
