I tested it out in my back yard before taking it on a trip to Iceland. I wanted to see how big it was and make sure it was going to be easy to set up also. The set up was very simple. I'm really glad I set it up in advance as a zipper was separated and I had to repair it as there was no time to send it back for repairs by the manufacturer, luckily it was just a window cover not an entrance zipper. It held up pretty well in Iceland but it did get below freezing while I was there and this tent did not work well in those low temperatures, it is definitely not more than a 3-season tent - if that. The seams were supposed to be factory sealed but moisture was still getting in so I had to reseal them with some seam-sealer, an easy and cheap fix and recommended for most tents anyway. I do think it will last a long time and be fine for most of the camping I do, in warmer weather, but if you are looking for an extra durable and warm tent for more extreme conditions then this is not the one for you.
- How accurate was the sizing? It is a two person tent, not room for much more.
- Please tell us about the quality of the product. The overall quality is above average but not great, see defects below.
- Was the product free of any manufacturer defects? I did have to seal the seams as it was allowing in some moisture, and a zipper had separated so I had to repair it before using.
