Good design, good construction. I liked the large door (easy egress for mature camper) and mesh loft (easy to see what's up there). The sides have large mesh windows that are fully covered by fly screen. This provides excellent ventilation so there is no moisture buildup over night but also means that it's your sleeping bag that will be keeping you warm. Note that this tent comes in three versions. The zf-fg is heavier material and zipper. I feel that having a larger, easier to operate zipper that will never jam (at the worst possible time) is well worth the extra $$. For another $$ you can get aluminum poles although I find the fiberglass ones very adequate. Note that this is a heavy tent; definitely not for backpacking. It comes with a good case with handles. I found that set up is almost but not quite idiot-proof; it is possible to install the fly upside down. Unfortunately the Alps website makes it hard to compare the three versions together.
