Great price, Great Value, Good Times
I was a little doubtful of the accuracy of this optic when outfitted to my son's 22LR. I put the optic on the included 1913 rail that came with the Ruger 10/22 and started shooting. With minimal effort, the optic was zeroed at 25 yards within 5 minutes and after that, it was plinking time. Quick acquisition time and resembled a lot of the red dot optics. Clarity can be adjusted by using a dimmer setting as there are many on this. Haven't drop tested this optic but I don't do that to any of my guns. This optic was a great value and far exceeded my expectations for such a cheap optic. I am planning to buy a few more and try them on other caliber rifles.

Red Dot
Not to be confused with a scope. There is no magnification, but the field is clear and bright. I plan to mount the unit on a muzzle loader and it appears that the installation will be easy and the unit will do exactly what I had hoped it would do. I did a preliminary check in a low light condition and it seems to perform as I had hoped it would. The price was right, and I would recommend to a friend. It would also make a great present for shotgun turkey hunting.

Poor dot quality
Because the price was so low, I did not expect a top quality product, but I did expect the red dot to at least be clear (I have red dot finder scopes for my telescopes in the same price range that deliver a good crisp dot image). This one, as some other reviewers observed, has a star-like pattern to the dot that makes it's effective dot size much larger than it is supposed to be and is pretty distracting. It is less noticable outdoors, but indoors is very pronounced. I understand that there are other red dot scopes in the same price range that perform better (like the *****) so I would suggest trying them instead. I was rather surprised at the dot quality, because the mechanical quality seems quite good: it is a very sturdy, all metal, construction.

42mm Red Dot Scope
This scope is a disappointment. Looks fine indoors with low light, outside, the dot washes out and is very hard to see. Speaking with friends who are more knowledgeable about these things I've found that this is to be expected with the less expensive dot scopes. (Though I do have one that works just fine.) It's not broken, it's just the way these units are. I would not recommend this to anyone.

Works on telescopes
Even though it has no magnification I bought it (over 2 years ago) in order to use it in a way similar to a Telrad finder. The battery lasts a long time because I use most of the time the lowest possible scale of LED intensity. Once adjusted properly it's dead on for ever. Mounting is easy if you have the proper base for it to be attached to. Built quality was better than expected and the weight of it proves my point. Full metal construction with front and rear removable caps. I like it. I have no idea how good it is if mounted on riffles but for telescope applications it's very good.

Looks good and works
Had to send the first one back. O.CO was great! They actually shipped a replacement before I was able to get the return packaged and in the mail.. Thanks O.CO! This is an inexpensive Red Dot that I purchased for my Romanian M10-862. Once we mounted it we needed only 12 rounds to get it dead on target. Some of those were operator error. For the cost and what it is used for, I would recommend this to anyone who wants a Red Dot for fun and games, and of course the ever posible Zombie attacks. Looks good on the AK and seems to be working fine.

Vanilla scope that works as advertised
It works as advertised. Typical Chinese optics not too bad for the price, and mounts pretty easy, I liked that.

Works well
I tried this scope on a handgun and a rifle. It is a great addition to my 22 semi-auto tactical rifle. Quite pleased.
