Ran across my late mother's recipe for Brandied Fruit. This large jar with glass lid is the perfect vessel to leave on the counter and see all the colors of fruit as they become a delicious topping or cake ingredient.
I bought it as a gift and haven't actually seen it myself yet but my daughter loves it! She says it's huge and shows well. She uses it in her kitchen for snacks. I will probably end up buying one for myself!

Love the size of this jar, but realized when I received it that the lid sits on top without any sealing mechanism. Had planned to use it for flour. Now I use if for storage under the sink.
I knew it would be big but this thing is really big. The lid does not have a seal so don't put all your cookies in it. They wont stay fresh. I bought it for the kids to make a Terrarium. It's great for this project. I flash back to the old days at the store and see those huge dill pickles floating in there.
This is what I wanted! Although, it's huge! Perfect for things like wrapped breakfast bars, packaged goodies, etc. This does not have a seal between the jar rim and lid so things like sugar, cookies, flour, etc would get stale quickly - the glass lid just sits on top of the rim.
I ordered the 2 gal, 1 gal and 1/2 gal jars - they work great for my need.
