I had one of these can openers for 15 years. Gave it to my daughter and purchase a new can opener for me. In the last 2 years, I have purchase at least 7 can openers, hand held and electric. They were garbage. I was so happy when I found my old reliable on Overstock.com I expect to have it for the next 15 years or more. The only can opener to buy!!!!! So easy to use and takes up little space. You don't have the spills that you get with electric can openers.
