Got a confirmation email saying warranty was shipped, but it never arrived. USPS tracking number given gave me an error. Customer service rep says Overstock doesn't mail the warranties, but instead gives a tracking number - the same one listed as the USPS tracking number, but you would never know that because it isn't mentioned on the product page, your account order page, the confirmation email. Also, you are sent a link to the warranty information, but nowhere does it reference your own personal order information or this mysterious tracking number. None of this makes me terribly confident that they would handle an actual warranty issue well as I'm getting the serious runaround just trying to get the warranty info! Overstock's excuse? It's a third party vendor they go through for the warranties. What a scam.
I PURCHASED THIS PLAN FOR A REFURBISHED VAC (DYSON) AND WITHIN A MONTH OF SERVICE I HAD ISSUES. ONE REP TELLS ME TO SEND IT TO THE NEAREST DEALER AND THE NEXT TELLS ME THERE IS NOTHING THAT CAN BE DONE AND SENDS ME A RETURN LABEL. IT WILL SEE IF THE REFUND GOES THROUGH..
This should be a given, but always right down name time and date of every person you talk to. This plan is not a replacement plan, it is a refund plan. They do not repair or replace most products. If they tell you to ship the product back, make sure you tell them the weight, and confirm that it is still to be shipped back. In my case I was to ship if product was under 25lbs. I did using label email to me, and it turns out that UPS charged me anyway. I am heading back to UPS for refund of shipping cost. I was told I would be reimbursed for shipping once package was received. I called to check on reimbursement only to find out by second person that they do not reimburse shipping cost. Lesson learned... Did not need to buy this plan, product failed in 6 months. 1 year warranty from overstock would have covered this without the headache.
I have not received anything from Overstock.com to verify that I paid for this plan.... I will be contacting Overstock.
I'm still waiting to see a Replacement Plan hard copy! This was a Christmas gift for my daughter and it would be awfully nice if I could give her the "rest of her present!"
I bought this Platinum Replacement Plan when I bought our KitchenAid Food Processor. This was an expensive product, well worth the price, yet not easily replaced. So the Platinum Replacement Plan is an essential part of maintaining our protection. I'm very pleased to have this.
Haven't had the chance to use this replacement plan. It's been a short time since I have had the chance to use mattrees; no need for this plan to be taken in effect. Hopefully won't have to use it.
This is one of those things that you hope to need, but have "just in case." It is an excellent plan, and one I feel comfortable with just knowing it is there. My equipment is of high quality, which makes me think that the plan is not needed, but it is also expensive, which would make it difficult to replace. I hope this helps.
I am happy I was able to purchase affordable insurance for this product since it is refurbished.
It wasn't the easiest thing to deal with. But, persistence and tenacity paid off. I wound up with a full refund. (and deservedly so)
