Not sure if it was necessary.
Bought this with a refurbished ipod dock not knowing what condition the dock would be but I haven't had any problems with it and haven't used the warrenty.

I have not had to use the plan. Its true value lies in replacing the product at no cost if it fails. At the price I paid, if I use the plan and it works or if I don't have to use it, it will be worth the cost.

I had to use it for my dvd, vcr recorder and a new one was sent in a short time with no questions asked. They are so very nice and would recomened this to anyone buying electronics or any purchases they need replacement in case something goes wrong.

This is an outstanding plan. I had a problem with an item and got instant results. My item was too big to ship back so I was given a credit, which in turn I used on overstock. Now whenever I order something, epecially electronic, I alwys get the protection.
