  • "Medium?" Are They Kidding?

    I was excited to receive the dog hoodie for my 25-lb, 16-inch basenji mix, who's been braving the frigid temperatures in New York uncovered all week. After carefully reviewing the size guide, I selected a "medium," which is supposed to fit beagles, cocker spaniels, and other medium-sized breeds. When the hoodie arrived, I lifted it out of the box and immediately thought, "They've made a mistake. This can't be a medium." In my hands was the tiniest garment I've ever seen. It looked like something you'd slip over a newborn baby. The largest dog that could possibly fit into this thing would be a miniature poodle. And yet, it was a "Medium," according to the tag sewn into it and the attached information. Needless to say, it wouldn't have fit over my dog's head, and I returned it immediately. My dog remains very cold, and I remain very satisfied.
