How many inches long at the bottom
I have a crazy pit bull mix who was destroying my house. He was a rescue which was found roaming in the Az mountains. He hikes about 30 miles with my husband every week, but suffers from severe separation anxiety. He has destroyed two of the regular type kennels. I thought he would have to go and was just distraught. (He's very sweet.) This kennel saved him from having to return to the rescue league. (He was there over 6 months when he came home with us, people are nervous about the pit mix.) He can not get out of this kennel and seems to resign himself to accepting it. It's small but he can stand up in it and turn around (he weighs 50 lbs). He has his bed in it. It has been a lifesaver for us. We don't travel with this kennel, its a little of an odd size. But the design is what keeps him from escaping....

This is an awesome crate. But it will not fit a dog bigger than about 50 lbs. The design is good. it is easy to assemble (it does take time though). As far as fit, consider this crate to be the equivalent of a 32" crate (i.e. 50 lbs max) Pros: build quality - I doubt any other crate comes close to the level of protection this crate offers in a traffic accident. cons: heavy - difficult to move around by yourselfRead More

How to Clean a Tungsten Ring
Tungsten rings are hard and durable, making them low-maintenance. Unlike rings made of gold and silver, which are much softer metals, tungsten rings don't develop scratches easily and are tarnish-resistant. In fact, if your tungsten wedding ring has a polished finish, then it will always look shiny and will likely never develop scratches or blemishes. Tungsten jewelry is easy to care for, but it is important to know how to clean it because it is a metal that can react poorly with some cleaning solutions and methods.
Best Bookshelf Materials
It's not unusual for bookshelves to incorporate multiple materials for different features. If you haven't decided on wood, wood products, metal or glass bookshelves, look at their relative strengths and weaknesses. Look below to learn the best bookshelf materials. Wood: "Solid wood" is a common term for furniture made from lumber planks. Beware of making assumptions based on labels like "hardwood" and "softwood." Hardwoods are derived from deciduous trees and softwoods from coniferous trees; the terms don't connote their relative strengths. Balsa is a hardwood even though it is very soft, just as Douglas fir is a softwood even though it is very hard. They all make excellent, classic stock material for bookcases. Generally, harder woods are the heavier and more resistant to scratches. Still, softer woods, if treated correctly, will keep just as well as harder woods. Plywood: Made by stacking thin sheets -- "plies" -- of lumber and gluing them under pressure, plywood features grains that alternate direction for strength. Several grades are available, of differing cost. Top and bottom plies can be high-quality woods to create the appearance of fine woods, but edge veneer or molding is needed to complete the illusion. Particleboard: Wood chips glued together carry a much lower price tag than solid wood, and particleboard is denser and more uniform. It's a great choice when cost is the primary consideration. Bookshelves crafted from veneered composite boards can look and feel as good as real wood. MDF: Wood fibers, tiny chips and sawdust collected and glued into sheets form medium-density fiberboard (MDF). Low-cost MDF makes an excellent base for veneers; plus, its strength is consistent and it shapes well. Metal: There's a reason most library bookshelves are made from metal: Metal bookcases are resistant to moisture and fungus, their low-friction shelves are easier on books' bindings and metal's strength-to-weight ratio can't be beat. Their cost usually comes in below any other material. Glass: Glass bookshelves weigh more than other types, but if you plan on assembling your bookshelves only once, the style points can be well worth it. Tempered glass shelves (in wood or metal uprights, called "standards") give your home an unbeatable contemporary feel, and glass bookcases' smooth, transparent surfaces add brilliant levity to a decorating piece that might otherwise be notably opaque and heavy. Every pet owner knows that pets are part of the family, so of course you want to give them the best. Part of taking care of your pets is ensuring that they're comfortable in their crates and cages, whether they only go in occasionally, like dogs and cats, or they spend a lot of time in there, like birds, small mammals, or reptiles. This guide will give you advice on how to make any pet's cage as comfortable as possible.
How to Introduce Your Pet to a Pet Kennel
Introducing your dog to a kennel or crate can be tricky because some pets do not want to be confined to a small space. Dogs usually acclimate to the den-like environment quickly, but you'll need to start out by showing her that it's a safe environment in order to help her learn to like it. With patience and time, your pet will enjoy, or at least tolerate, periods of time in a kennel. Crates and kennels, if used properly, can provide a place that your dog feels is her own space while also protecting your home from your pet.

Best Kid-friendly Fabric for Sofas
Finding the right sofa and loveseats that match your room, have the right look and meet your budget can be like searching for a needle in a haystack. If kid-friendly fabrics are on your must-have list, start by looking below. This article will help you find the best kid-friendly fabrics for sofas, which should repel stains and hold up to added abuse from children jumping, scooting and forgetting to remove their shoes before hopping on the sofa. Microfiber: Microfiber is stain-resistant and comes in different textures. Some microfiber weaves are smooth, like suede, and others are denser, similar to corduroy. You may clean most microfiber with water, but check the manufacturer's tag because a few types of microfiber may require cleaning with a compatible solvent. Wool: For sofas, wool and wool blends are great because of their durability. They're less prone to pilling, snagging and wrinkling than other fabrics. Plus, wool is easy to spot-clean. Vacuum this natural fabric with a hand-held vacuum attachment to remove dust. Leather: Leather is a versatile sofa fabric; it can be elegant or totally casual. Its slick surface makes cleanups relatively easy. Beware if you have pets, as little claws can leave scratch marks. Scuff-repair solutions are available, and they can keep your kids' sofa looking good for years. In addition, a quick treatment with leather conditioner once or twice a year will keep the sofa soft and supple. Vinyl: Vinyl is just as versatile as leather and often has the same smart look, but at a much more affordable price. It's easy to clean, too: just spray it with water and wipe spills away. Vinyl isn't as snuggly as microfiber, but in a playroom, it will hold up to lots of abuse. Denim: Just because a sofa is upholstered in denim doesn't mean it'll look like your worn-out jeans. Just like a comfy pair of jeans, denim is sturdy and goes with everything. In addition, denim sofas are available in a rainbow of colors to match your kids' bedrooms or playroom. How to Waterproof Fabric Outdoor Furniture
Most fabric outdoor furniture is water-resistant but not waterproof. Even patio furniture that is waterproof may lose its water-repelling qualities over time. To maintain your investment, fabric patio furniture should be waterproofed after cleaning or seasonally (in the spring and again in the fall, before it is stored for the winter). Not all waterproofing formulas are equal. For best results, choose a product that specifies it is for use on outdoor fabrics. And check the furniture manufacturer's instructions; using some products may harm the fabric and void your warranty, if you have one.
