Not bad at all
This is a solidly designed, decently constructed dog house. The opening is short, so my big Newfoundland can't get it. But that's good, because the abused and traumatized beagle is the one the house is for. He's a pretty large beagle, weighing about 42 pounds, so I went with the larger size because I was worried about him being able to get into it. Easy-peasy assembly, and extra screws/bolts. Took me less than an hour, with 3 interruptions, and have it set up now. I did NOT screw in the crown piece and one side of the roof; they're heavy enough to remain on in all except serious winds, and since it's been places in a sheltered spot on my porch, I left those un-fixed (but in place) so that I can access the inside of the house for cleaning and getting into the house itself for different purposes. Color was close to matching the picture, and as always, Overstock shipped very quickly. I am over all very pleased with this. Now if only the beagle likes it!

Could have been "excellent"
The dog house itself is of good quality and I would have rated this product much higher, however, the product was not packaged correctly and showed up at my door broken in several areas. The sides of the dog house are made of wood, and the wood had been cracked in several places. Also the trim on the entry to the house was split down the middle. I couldn't waste my time returning the product and waiting for a new one, so my boyfriend and I used wood glue and nails and put it together the best we could. It works fine now but it was a big inconvenience to do this. If it weren't for this, I would give this product 5 stars. It was easy to put together and seems to be holding up very well. I was nervous that my dog wouldn't use it but he actually loves it and I find comfort in knowing he's warm at night! Hopefully you have better luck than I did with the shipping procedures because if you do, you wont regret this purchase.
