Some of the other reviews say it doesn't work at all, but the instructions say it may take several uses to be fully effective and you have to introduce it to your dog in a calm matter, not when they are already anxious. I use it on my miniature schnauzer when we go on the highway. She pants excessively and shakes. The thundershirt hasn't completely cured it, but it has definitely taken it down several notches. At first it didn't seem to do anything, but after a few tries, she actually likes to wear it and is much more secure. Just follow the instructions and give it a fair try. I think over time this will get her out of her anxiety completely when riding in the car. The product is very well made, I would give it an excellent, but we'll see what happens down the road. The only downfall would be if your dog scares easily from the sound of Velcro and it may make them hot in the summer.

    This so far is doing what it claims. Went for a ride down the road about 10 miles and for the first time my dog didn't puke her weight in yellow liquid! Too soon to give it an excellent rating until we get brave enough to go farther down the road. The vest seems to make her feel more relaxed in the car and she didn't mind having it on.
