Not Bad
This bark control actually does work quite well. I discovered, after a call to the company, that it does not respond well to high pitched barks. I have tiny dogs, so that's too bad for me. Luckily it has a button on top that allows you to manually have it make a correction. To me it sounds like very soft static but my chihuahua and yorkie respond by crouching down and looking up with a startled expression. It really does inhibit their barking after that.

Works..but not for one!
Since we have 2 yappers,this doesnt phase the older one,who is almost 10..:( The younger one,shakes his head..and no barking.. I dont have it on a lot,since not fair for the one that barks less... However,I do think it would be fine as a training tool for younger dogs. Not sure if it will work well on with an older dog,who has barked all their life..which,in my experience,is the smaller breeds..mine are poms..enough said..:)

Don't waste your money
I purchased this unit as I have 2 Chihuahuas who would bark anytime I left my apartment. The first day I received this it worked great, the noise or sound stopped them quick from barking. By around the 3rd day it no longer seemed to work at all. The light kept flashing so I changed the battery....still nothing. I would leave my apt. and hear my dogs "singing and howling" for at least 5 min. This thing is a big waste of money and does not work in the long run. The dogs get used to the sound and no longer care if it makes noise or not.

I do nor recommend this item
this item is not worth buying, I purchased this for a 10 month old puppy, when I turned it on the dog starting barking at the unit. I believe that it must be emitting the audio that it was designed to do, however it must really irritate her because it makes her bark continuously and non stop to the point that I had to turn the unit off and has not been able to use it to control her barking.

cheaply made
I have a yappy little dog that barks all the time so I bought this hoping it would be better than yelling at him. It worked for a few days then he just got used to the noise and it didn't bother him anymore. It's more effective to put pennies in a coke can and shake it at your dog...much cheaper too.
