stopped the jumping & nipping!
We bought this because we were having a big problem with our Goldendoodle. She was 6 months old when we bought the collar. She behaved perfectly in the house and would do well outside with just me. Outside playtime with others was a big problem. It was awful! All the neighborhood kids would be running & playing in our yard and our dog would jump and nip their feet, hands or FACE! She wouldn't stop no matter what we tried. It was scary for the kids and they were getting hurt. Dog got overly happy, started to runs circles around them in play attack mode & nip over and over. It was impossible to grab her collar because she'd be so jumpy. We'd have to literally drag her by the leash with her trying to nip all the way inside. After getting nipped myself one day, I ordered this collar. Delivery was super fast. I used the collar for the "LEAVE IT" and "OFF" commands. It helped me teach her to be able to play with the kids but to give the kids a little space. "OFF" command meaning: don't jump on them & stay with all 4 paws on the ground. I started with it on 1 and only had to go to 3 one time. Now, I don't even have to use the shock because she knows! We can say leave it to shoes, food or other temptations and off when she is going to jump on the couch..It's been very helpful. She wears the collar daily and especially when out playing. I'm so happy. The kids even say she's so much better and the best part is that all the neighborhood kids play with her daily! They will throw her balls and run her like crazy and she behaves. I love that this collar is rechargeable! It is great that it has a remote on a lanyard so I can wear it around my neck. Her hair is really long so I did have to put on the longer prongs. Glad to see those were included in the package. Thanks SportDog!

works ok
I am a seasoned electronic collar user. This one I bought mainly because of the range and the waterproof feature. I am training a new dog and I was using my sisters dogs electronic collar & she needed it back. This one does not seem to be as strong, but more importantly, the "tone" feature is not very loud nor is it as effective as the innotek tone mode. I will say that this remote does seem to be more substantial than the innotek remote though - doesn't feel as "cheap". I REALLY do wish the tone feature was louder - I was only using the tone feature with the innotek - and now with this new collar, I don't think my dog hears it all the time....

Does not work on dogs with long hair
My dog has thicker long hair and even the longer prongs don't work unless I turn it up high which I don't want to do. The beep is also way too quiet to even hear.

it is worth it to pay a little extra instead of buying a cheap version of this product. i had bough two different training collars in the past and both broke within three months. i know i will not have that problem with this collar. its all i could have asked for and more
