    I have no idea how effective the gate is. We opened the box and quickly realized that the color won't fit our décor. All the ads for the gate show a walnut color, though the description says "autumn matte". the color is actually a kind of light blonde. We'll send it back and order a different product, since the vendor does not have a dark wood option.
