I read the other rating on this product but since it was only one I thought I would try the product anyway. Unforchantly they were right. The mouse doesn't work but for 15 to 30 seconds. That is so sad because this is a great idea. Our cat loved it but since it didn't work but for less than 30 seconds she just walked off once it wouldn't work. The second time we tried to use it she wouldn't even bother with it.

You have to charge the mouse from the 2 AA batteries in the remote controller; this charge lasts approximately 60 seconds or less (it takes 45 seconds to recharge the mouse each time). In other words, if you move the mouse constantly, it will only run for about a minute before it needs to be recharged again. Now, maybe if you move the mouse in occasional little tiny jerks, you'll get about 5 minutes out of a charge. By then your kitty will have moved on to something way more fun - like chasing flies. In the end my cat was far more interested in the antenna on the control box, and ignored the noisy mouse altogether. He also enjoyed chewing on the box that the contraption came in.
