I bought this adjustable dog bowl set with the 5 quart bowls because we have two large dogs. I chose this style because we also have a jack russell and I figured we could fit his bowls underneath. That part works great for space saving. The rack is sturdy enough, but I've found when you fill the bowl with water, it leans over because obviously, water is heavier than kibble. I even tighten the knobs as tight as I possibly can but it still lists to the left. Also, one of the bowls came with a huge dent in it, but that didn't really bother me. The stand has two separate knobs: one to hold the rings that the bowls go in, and one you put on top of the bowls to keep them in place. THAT part is a little inconvenient because you have to unscrew the knob just to get the bowls out. But I completely understand the purpose of it, so that's cool - just trying to give a thorough review. All in all, I am happy to have purchased a product that elevates the food for our large dogs, and happy that it is not a bulky stool type stand, so would recommend this to others. I bet the bowl wouldn't teeter if it wasn't the 5 qt size (which is the largest.)Read More
The set up was problematic. You need to remove the height adjustment screws every time you want to remove the bowls and it's a pain. We finally just took them off completely. The weight of the water made that bowl tilt so we had to put in a shim. Now the other bowl is tilting as well. We have a very tall greyhound and he needs to have his food/water raised and this looked like the perfect solution. Alas, with tweaking it is working although we now have to add a second shim on the other side. I can't imagine what the people who came up with this design were thinking!Read More

How to Choose Dog Bowls
When you're shopping for dog bowls, you'll need to consider your dog's breed, the place where you feed your dog, and the type of food you feed him. Here are some suggestions that you'll want to consider, so you can choose the best feeders and waterers for your dog.
Best Dog Bowls for Large Breeds
Weighing in at 50 pounds or more, large breed dogs require special feeders and waters to make mealtime easier on their joints, digestive system, and spine. Special dog bowls are also a healthier choice for big dogs since they help minimize bloat. Excessive air buildup in a dog's stomach can lead to serious health complications, including obstructed veins in the abdomen, damage to internal organs, low blood pressure, shock, or even death. Fortunately, several types of dog bowls can make mealtime healthier and more comfortable for a large breed dog.
How to Season a Wooden Salad Bowl
Wood salad bowls need to be seasoned to prevent drying and cracking. This is particularly important for serving bowls that are unfinished. If your bowl is properly cared for and cleaned, the seasoned flavor and fragrance of garlic and herbs will be preserved. Proper maintenance will result in a well-seasoned serving bowl, which will become more aromatic with age.
How to Keep Score in Bowling
Scoring in bowling can seem complicated to a beginning bowler, but like other team sports, it really is very simple once you learn a few basic rules. In keeping score, you are adding up the number of pins knocked down in each frame, but there are special rules for getting bonus points, which can increase the score substantially. A game of bowling has 10 frames, or turns, per player. There are 300 possible points per game in bowling. Just adding up the number of pins knocked down during a game would give a maximum score of 120, so understanding how the bonus points work is the key to keeping accurate score.
FAQs about Bowling Equipment
Bowling is a simple sport that requires very little equipment, but bowling equipment does make a big impact on your bowling game. The different types of bowling balls allow for different movement as it rolls down the lane. A wrist brace dramatically improves your delivery of the ball. And bowling shoes, like all athletic shoes, allow you to better perform the technique necessary for success.
How to Pick the Right Dog Door Size
A dog door gives both the owner and his dog freedom. The dog can go in and out of the house at will, and the owner has flexibility in his schedule -- no more running home to let pets out. A dog door does not need to be the exact size of your dog for your pet to fit through it comfortably. Here are the top tips for buying a pet door for your home.
Best Chew Toys for Dogs
Chew toys for dogs fall into several categories, and the best kinds of pet toys for your dog depend in part on your dog's habits. You don't want to choose pet chew toys for a dog that swallows rawhides instead of chewing on them or a very hard chew toy for an older dog with missing teeth. Some dog chew toys are safe if ingested piece by piece, while other dog toys are meant to be gnawed on for a long time. Here is how to pick the best dog chew toys for your pet.
How to Choose a Pet Bed for an Older Dog
Pamper your older dog with his own dog bed. Pet beds provide your pets with a safe, comfortable place to sleep and rest, which is especially important for older pets. Most dogs love to curl up on a soft bed -- especially if that bed happens to be yours. Climbing in and out of your high bed, however, can cause your old buddy great pain. Coax him off your bed and reward him for his years of loyalty by choosing a high-quality pet bed that will soothe his tired bones during his golden years.
Best Dog Beds for Small Dogs
Treating your dog to the best means giving him a cozy place to curl up in at night. If you have a small dog, however, finding the right dog bed isn't always easy. Smaller dogs and puppies may get lost in a bed designed for a larger dog, and may not even sleep on it at all. When you're shopping for pet beds for your little dog, you'll want to consider these tips.

For instance, dog clothes can help dogs stay warm in cool weather, protect them from outdoor allergens, or shield their skin from sunburn. Best Places in Your Home for a Dog Bed
You want to give your dog the best, and a cozy pet bed can make him feel comfortable and loved in your home. Dogs sleep in their pet beds at night as well as for naps throughout the day. Giving him a comfortable bed to relax in is only part of making him feel at home, however. Finding the right spot for your dog's bed is just as important as finding the right bed to start with.
