Prevue Pet Products Deluxe Hamster/Gerbil Cage

This cage is a well made cage with no chance of escape for your small pet. The 2 houses that cames with it, I took it out and bought a different house. There is a square wire thing that i took out and put the bedding on the bottom of the cage.. It is suppose to help seperate stuff from the bedding, but most small animals love to dig!! It is a sturdy plastic bottom, the whole top of the cage opens and is hindged. I put the upper levels in. The wheel that came with the cage does work, but is cheaply made. The houses are sturdy, but make sure there are no sharp edges when cutting the small piece of plastic from the window and door. You do get 2 houses! The other thing that threw me off was this.... There is 2 kind of hook things that I had no idea at first what it was for.. The cage is assembled, but no instructions. The hooks go on the outside of the cage and lock to the plastic bottom. The wire part of the cage just sits into the plastic bottom and the hooks lock it. The top needs to be locked back into the tabs when you are done. The cage is so easy to clean! This cage has a front door on it, it is hard for a small animal to lift it, but I put a garabage bag tie around the top of the door and the next bar of the cage, just helps so the small pet dont escape!! Since it is big, has 2 levels, lots of room to play and have toys. I bought a different wheel and it attaches between the bars. There is a place on either side of the cage for a water bottle to hang. It is well worth the money and it is a wire age which gives plenty of ar to get in. I would say cover the cage with a towel if it is in a drafty room!!
