AWFUL PARENT ALERT! I bought this for the dog, clearly. However, it took a little longer than usual to get here. In the interim, I found two nice ones at a close out store in town for $20 bucks (which were the right size) I did not know this one was HUGE!!! I'm blonde it states it in the description, I clearly didn't read it. This one arrived, I open it, gasped at the overwhelming size; and thought, ugh I have to return this. Well it was about 2 minutes after that the 6 month old baby made his way over to this dog bed and decided to crawl around on it! I think it was the "lamb's wool" fabric. So we loved it, and for a brief time we had the jumbo "baby's mat" that the baby used to crawl around on until he really figured out how to go, then there was no containment. It was great, we would just roll it up and stick it under the crib when he wasn't using it so we could make sure no dog hair for baby and his toys ... Fourth kid. Don't judge. Now it IS the dog's bed. Not as glorious a purpose. German Shepard, full sized, seems really large for her. Still happy with it. FYI it is not as luscious as the picture would have you believe.
I have a large older chocolate lab who has always hated every dog bed I have purchased in the past. He finally loves this one - it has been the only one that he actually sleeps in. I got the largest one - the Snoozy 6000 - my lab is about 100 lbs. He seems to like this because it isn't thickly padded and he really enjoys resting his head on the bumpers. It is soft but lightly padded and may become a bit warm for him in the summer. Overall a great bed though.
