this is the poorest dog toy i have ever seen. Dogs can not get them to sound by biting them, you have to hit the toy to make the sound. what dog can do that??? I was so excited when i ordered this but as soon as I opened them I was soooo disappointed, Also you can not return them which I did not know. DO NOT ORDER THIS TOY FOR YOUR DOG!!!!!!

Not So Great
 Jan 31, 2011

The toy pig we purchased for our 4 pound puppy is merely okay. Nothing to get excited about at all. The noise box is hard and not all that great. You have to hit it hard or throw it hard so that it works. Might work for some but our Lola prefers the small squeaker toys.

second set
 from Michigan,  Nov 29, 2010

These are a staple for my pomeranians fun! She plays all by herself with these little toys and when they quack or Hehaw she just gets excited all over again. She has worn out her first set... and i just got her a new set. They lasted her about 4 yrs. The sqeakers finally gave out. I pull them out and wash the animals by hand.... with bleach... and they looked great right to the end.... minus the missing ear... or tail!! Would definately buy again.

too tiny to frail
 from Georgia,  Oct 14, 2010

These are so tiny I am relieved I only bought one. I got a donkey which is cute, but looks more like an infant toy than a dog toy because it is so small and delicately constructed. To be fair it is very soft and the noise box works, but again it seems more baby than puppy in its design.

Pipsqueak Talking Duck
from Akron, OH,  Oct 5, 2010

I purchased the quacking duck for my dog. The toy is great and keeps her entertained for hours. You have to watch that the voice box does not come out of the toy, though. It is loosely fitted into a pocket compartment in the tummy of the duck. I wouldn't want her to dig it out and swallow it. I only leave the toy down when I can watch her play with it. I would never leave it in the containment cage overnight with her. It quacks three times in a row every time you smack the bottom of the toy. She makes it quack herself now by throwing it up in the air and waiting for it to land. The toy is much smaller than I imagined, but my dog likes it. She's a 12 lb. beagle puppy.

Donkey Dog Toy
 from Colorado,  Jul 15, 2010

The toy was a lot smaller than I expected (I guess I should have paid closer attention to the description details!). The noise it creates when thrown is a bit annoying & the noise box inside fills up most of the toy. Needless to say my dog had it destroyed in 1 day which tells me that she really enjoyed it? I think for a few bucks less it may be a better value.

Great Sounding Toy
from Columbiana, AL,  Apr 5, 2010

I purchased two of this type of toy. My puppy loves them both. They make noise as to what type of animal it is. The toy will keep your puppy playing for quite a while. Good purchase, won't be disappointed.

Pipsqueaks Pig
from Charleston, SC,  Mar 16, 2010

I thought this item was ok. I did think it would be a bit bigger, sturdier, and with the battery problems I had (customer service took care of it for me) I think it was just and average item. Thanks!

Stuck pig
from Annapolis, MD,  Dec 16, 2009

I bought the duck a few months back, and the dog liked it so much, and it was so durable, I decided to buy another one and this time chose the pig. It was so cute! But from the time I took off the battery saver, it was downhill. First it didn't oink properly, and replacing the batteries didn't help. Then I realized the audio component was loosely embedded and I figured the dog would tear it out so I removed it, leaving a pink floppy pig that had very little stuffing. Still it was OK, but then the second day we had it, the dog bit off the ear and pulled out the rest of the stuffing, so it went to the trash. I'm sure Overstock would have made good on replacing this item if I'd returned it the minute I saw the audio didn't work properly, but I just didn't feel like making a trip to the post office, etc., and let it go.

Second order!
 from Indiana,  Oct 30, 2009

My dog loved the first one I purchased, the pig. So I decided to purchase two more for her. The quality of them seem to withstand her play since she is a smaller dog. And she really enjoys the sounds from them!

Dogs love talking toys
from Sumner, WA,  Jun 24, 2009

My little yorkies love these toys, but the batteries that make them talk must be old. I ordered 4 toys and the first toy stopped working after an hour, the second toy quite after 3 days. The other 2 are still working. The sounds are what make these toys fun. If you order these toys hopefully you'll get one that last.
