I know this ramp is made for dogs, but I am looking for a ramp so I can get my 60lb fold up mobility scooter in the back of my SUV do you think the ramp would hold the scooter when rolled in the back of the car? The size is just right.

False Claim on Petgear Tri-fold ramp Petgear claims that their trifold ramp can sustain up to 200 Lbs. We relied on such claim and bought that ramp for our dog who weights 115 Lbs. When he went up the ramp to climb into our car, the ramp buckled under him. He could have fallen and hurt himself (he is 10 years old) but was agile enough to jump off. When we called Petgear to report the incident, they offered to replace the ramp with the same one. They just don't get it. THE RAMP CAN'T EVEN SUSTAIN 115 LBS WHILE THEY CLAIM IT HOLDS UP TO 200 LBS. We were fortunate enough that our dog did not injure himself. That would have been an expensive vet bill. Based on our experience we can't recommend this product

too industrial I bought this ramp for convenience in helping my large, injured dog in and out of my jeep when we take rides. The ramp is so solid , strong and cumbersome that it is just too much of a burden to use. It is easier just to boost my dog in the jeep myself.

PetGear Pet Ramp The ramp has a strap for attaching to SUVs to help keep it stable. For truck beds, you have to rest it on the edge of the tailgate. The weight of the dog helps to keep it place, but it could easily slip off to the side if an overzealous dog tried to climb up. I would suggest having at least two people when first using the ramp, so one could guide the dog and the other keep the ramp stable. Or, fashioning your own tailgate strap, whichever you prefer. I have a goofy, 5 y.o. Lab who has bad hips and is scared of just about everything. It took him only a few minutes to figure out the ramp. I think this will be a great product to use when we need more cabin space and much easier on his hips than jumping in and out of the truck bed. Also, the folding ramp takes up little space in the bed so I can always have it on hand.

Great product for older and/or disabled animals Our black lab and german shepard are beginning to have difficulty getting in and out of car or truck as they get older so a ramp was considered. This ramp appears very durable, stores easily because is a tri-fold design and has a non-slip surface for the dogs. The only downside as mentioned by other purchasers is the strap on the ramp that is to be used to secure the ramp to the vehicle to reduce or prevent slipping of the ramp. This strap is too short, is too rigid and difficult to secure to something to keep the ramp from slipping. A minor problem that could possibly be solved by a longer and more flexible/adjustable strap. This ramp is still the best one we have found to help animals get in and out of vehicles or up stairs, etc. and would highly recommend you consider it for your pets
