Great Purchase
I love this pet car seat. It fits perfect in the car. My new puppy loves it. She is calm and relaxed on our car rides to the vet. I really love the fact that she is protected and enclosed in case of an accident or a short stop. I do wish that maybe the carrier part was made out of something other than only plastic. I would love maybe if it came in various sizes for a larger dog. This is more so for a cat or small dog. My puppy is 7 lbs and although she is comfortable and has room if she gets much bigger she will not fit anymore. The feature that you can remove carrier and leave base in the car is a great feature. One click and it can be released for transport. So easy to reattach for ride home. I would recommend this seat and I am thinking of purchasing another. Checked all over the internet for best price and by far Overstock in the lowest. This is on other sites for $69.00. Love It !

Wouldn't buy again
I am pretty satisfied with this carrier. It locks securely into the base; however, I'm not sure how secure the base is in the seat belt. My carrier had a missing piece and no number or contact information with which to get the missing piece. Also, the plastic mat is attached to the bottom of the carrier in a way that makes it very difficult to take out for cleaning. It is slippery and not very comfortable for my dog.

Room for Improvements
Would be nice if the door was configured to be opened in either direction. Too bad it didn't come in different colors. I do like its security and seat belt attachment.

Awesome
This product even impressed my vet and staff. Everyone wanted to see how it worked and asked where I bought it as they had never seen anything like it before. I particularly loved the ease at which it locks into the base and how light the carrier is, even with the cat in it. Honestly, the cat didn't care at all, but I love it.

pet taxie
This is a great pet taxie, we bought one a few years ago for our little chihuahua, we just recently purchased this one from overstock for our chihuahua we just adopted. They fit great in the back seat. With this pet taxie a pet can lay down and even has room to stand up. We find them easier to travel with than the regular style pet taxies. Having a base to set the seat into makes it easy for just taking the taxie in and out of the car. Overstock has a very good price on this taxi, I paid less for this taxie at overstock than I did 2 years ago at a pet store. Overstock delivers fast. Very impressed with overstock and the procduct I purchased.

ample carrier
I purchased this for my 22 pd cat and did it with reservation after rdg other reviews re the door weakness but have had no problems and my cat fit well with no security problems re front door which admittedly is not as strong as I would like but since I planned to use it as a carrier only, it served my purpose fine since it was just for short trips to the groomer. Like the style and my cat was snug in it.
