We have a very small opening from our kitchen to our living room, so this was the only gate I could find that could accommodate this opening. At first, I only used one panel, but my 9 week old Morkie was able to squeeze past the sides. My husband was able to put in both panels and the side bolts, 2 on each side, which now makes it impossible for her to get through. I love how sturdy the gate is and how easy to put up. I hope she won't eventually figure a way to climb or jump over when she gets older.
