A friend bought a dog thought to be a bichon/poodle mix and was told the dog would weigh as much as 10lbs. when the dog hit 18lbs she had some doubts. She got the Dog breed DNA test kit, used it, and the results showed her dog to be a Schnauzer/poodle mix. The included description fit her dog 100%.
I found 2 dogs thought to be yellow labradors. Maybe not purebred , but at least 85%. I figured why not? Bought the test, tested one dog, sent it in, and the results came back; half german shepherd, part golden retriever, part undetermined mix. clearly the results were far off. I"m going to run the test again on the other dog and see if the results are matched.
